You may have recently seen the drama that unfolded when steemit CEO downvoted a post made by EOS creator Dan Larimer.
Dan Larimer is the cofounder of BitShares, Steem, and now EOS. is Ned Scott the CEO and cofounder of Steemit. @Dan gave
the keys to steemit and moved on to create EOS.
I think it is very unfortunate to have to see this fallout between the two of them publicly displayed here on steemit. Now it seems that Brendan Blumer, CEO of Block.one has stated that EOS.IO will be working on new version of STEEM that plans to fix the unfair distribution issue that plagues STEEM.
EOS Vs STEEM
So while there does not seem to be any details on this at the moment it would give the impression that EOS is planning on changing the block reward distribution on EOS to include some type of curation reward system like we already see here on steemit. Currently as it stands the block reward is set to just go to the block producers that users vote in as witnesses.
So here are some great features of EOS we already know about
- EOS already has one of the best distributions since it has had a year long ICO.
- Insane fast transaction times
- EOS Storage will compete with Drop box and other cloud storage services
- IQ airdrop plus possibly others through the EOS VC fund
EOS is still being developed and great features added all the time. We are all pretty familiar with the pros and cons of Steemit at this point. There is a large community of over 300k users. So what do you think? Will you be leaving Steemit to go to EOS? Do you think this will cause Steemit to step up their game and figure out solutions to the distribution issues?
