I sat down this morning fully intending to do another post in the #x-daysofmusic challenge.
Then I remembered that season 4 of Steem Monsters ended last night and because of where I finished I had 65 reward cards to reveal.
On top of that because of where the account finished the season, she had 40 reward cards to reveal.
I decided instead to write this post about what the rewards we were able to acquire and some other things that have been going on with my account lately. In case you didn't read the post from about season five, they have changed the way rewards are revealed.
Cards are only presented ten at a time now and after you reveal them then you can move on to the next ten cards. I am not sure how I feel about it. I understand it is probably better for people that are using a variety of devices and screen sizes, for me though, it was cool seeing all of my cards on one screen.
Things started off pretty good with a couple of epics in my first batch of ten. I was one card short of leveling both Daria and Divine Sorceress to the next level, so I was happy to see those flip over.
From there things got pretty mundane...
Ohh! Another Divine Sorceress! Awesome!
And then I was pleasently surprised by this Gold Foil Flame Imp. I already had one of them, so now I would be able to level him up.
So that's it. I pulled some decent cards, but nothing to get super excited about for having 65 chances. I was really looking forward to pulling my first reward legendary. It just wasn't to be though...
I combined the cards that I was able to and then I turned to 's account to check her rewards.
It was pretty much more of the same. Nothing to write home about until her last batch of ten. I clicked on the last card to flip it over and it started to shake! I knew that could only mean one thing.
Yep, she pulled a regular foil Lord Arianthus. It's the only one that we own between us, but it was still a welcome surprise.
I would have like to see more epics and gold foil cards given we had 105 cards to pull between us, but maybe we will have better luck at the end of season five.
Account Changes
If you spend any time hanging around my wallet, you will probably notice that I have delegated away a lot of my SP lately. I am still using my account the same way I did in the past and I am also still doing mostly manual curation.
I have mentioned in the past though that most of my post rewards have been coming from sources I have been delgating to and not actual users. The fact is that with the price of Steem being so low, the difference in my upvote at 800 SP vs 1600 SP is not that significant.
For that reason, I made the decision to delegate away a large chunk of my SP. This way I can support groups that I have been wanting to for a while now like and
while also growing my account with larger delegations to groups like
.
I remain dedicated to Steemit though and you will be able to see that. I will still be powering up nearly all of my rewards and I continue to choose to powerup 100% all of my posts. It is my desired to reinvest and grow as much as possible on Steemit.
#fosteraminnow
Finally, things haven't been going as well as I had hoped with the foster a minnow challenge. Several people expressed an interest, but I have yet to see any posts using the tag. Perhaps after the new year things will pick up. My fear though is that people will forget and this tag will fade into obscurity. If you don't already have an initiative you are participating in, please consider fostering a minnow or plankton.
