I can say emphatically with the rise in connectivity and the Internet, distractions abound for every single one not us. Many of us have in the process of chasing our dreams changed what we are focusing on.
I know artists who are now more concerned about their numbers, than the quality of their craft. I know writers who are more concerned with likes than the content they create.
It is not news anymore to hear people plan their lives with the ultimate aim being that they 'Trend' with little regard for HOW THEY TREND.

Ask yourself from time to time WHY YOU DO WHAT YOU DO.
Take a second, third, fourth, and as many looks as you want until you settle in your heart EXACTLY WHY YOU DO WHAT YOU DO.
Reexamine your focus as regularly as possible, this will help you STAY ON COURSE.
