My regards to all dear friends of steemit, this time I share this snail that I found in the garden when it started to rain.
These snails come out when it rains to feed because they need a high humidity to have activity and move.
The snails would surely reach the plant and begin to feed on it during the night when the humidity is high, but when the day comes and the humidity drops dramatically the snails do not have time to move to their "hiding places" between the land or the rocks.
When they leave, the snails secrete a dry layer of mucus with which they seal the opening of the shell to avoid losing moisture and stay attached to the plant waiting for another episode of rain. They are stacked on the highest parts so as not to burn on the ground, there air circulates.
Hence, we see more snails on rainy days, it is the perfect time to go out to eat or move to their "hiding places" where they can stay away from dryness.
