This small dam cum waterfall located at Kodiveri, Tamilnadu in India. This dam constructed for the purpose of irrigation on the river of Bhavani. Now a days many people visits here for picnic and having fun in the falls. So the dam becomes a tourist place, fortunately there were less tourists when we went to the dam and took these pictures.
Two channels arise from the dam for irrigation purpose, one on its right side and another is on its leftside that flowing for fields of Paddy and Sugacane. 800 cubic feet of water per second for irrigation uses.This is the best example for water management system.
The beautiful landscape of this dam surrounded with green farms and trees. Most of Tamil films have shot many scenes here.
