A color wash is a great way to get intense, fade-style color on your lids. To create the look, follow these steps:
• Prep Eyelids.
It’s important to prep your eyelids before you’re applying any eyeshadow.
First, because it can help you to get an even canvas and the eyeshadow pay off will be much nicer.
Second, because it keeps the eyeshadow from creasing!
You can prep your eyelids with an eye primer, or you can apply a bit of concealer onto them.
In the picture, you’ll see how much difference it can make if you use concealer to get an even canvas. That’s what I used to start off with this look.
Use a concealer which you’ll apply and blend it in with a makeup sponge (like beauty blender) or an eyeshadow brush. Once it’s all blended in, use a fluffy eyeshadow brush or any face brush and set it with translucent powder.
• Pick A Bright Eyeshadow Color.
This eyeshadow color will be applied very intensely on the mobile lid.
You can use a flat eyeshadow brush to apply it.
• Start Blending.
Once you’ve applied your base color, use a blending brush to blend the rest of the color upward, toward your brow line.
• Lower Lash Line.
To round up the look, repeat the second and third step. Use the flat eyeshadow brush to add some shadow on the lower lash line as well and connect it with the outer corner.
Then use the blending brush again and blend the lower lash line as well and get rid off harsh lines as well.
• Add Pencil.
You can add any color of pencil you like for your waterline. This could be black, white, nude or any matching pencil color that suits the look as well.
• Finish with Mascara and Highlighter.
Once you’ve blended your shade, finish the look with mascara and highlighter, to make your eyes pop.
Finished look.
