When NASA launches its newest vehicle to Planet Mars later, it is certain that the vehicle is a helicopter. Precisely, of course unmanned helicopter.
Mars Helicopter, as NASA named it, will be shipped on a 2020th Mars mission flight. The helicopter will fly through Planet Mars air.
Quoted from The Verge on Sunday (5/13/2018), this helicopter will be tested for its ability, whether it can be on the planet's gravitational atmosphere is 100 times thinner than the atmosphere on Earth.
The Mars Helicopter design is currently being worked on for the past four years by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. But NASA has not decided whether the helicopter with this design will be delivered to Mars, or there will still be design changes.
NASA also needs to decide that this technology is most likely to be realized and their institutions have enough funds to make it happen.
However, if the helicopter fails to fly, NASA ensures this will not affect the mission of Mars 2020. If Mars Helicopter managed to fly, this vehicle will be tasked with photographing a fuller 360-degree view of Mars with two cameras.
