It's testimony time presently, and I'm just so happy being in God's house today, alive and well. I'm just grateful for the faces I'm seeing, both new and old. It's been a couple of months since I attended a service filled with so many smiling faces and an atmosphere of joy and love.
Stay tuned! I've gotta pay attention in church.
Lol.
So service progressed spectacularly and I left feeling good, and ready for the new week and semester. We sang, we danced, praised God, and interacted after service. Being in God's presence is an uplifting experience that should never be missed.
Chiefly, the preacher spoke about the characteristics of "A Spiritual City", focusing on growth as an innate feature of any city.
Drawing upon the fact that God said unto man to be fruitful and multiply, he went on to show us that the multiplication did not necessarily mean procreation, but a multiplication of his image in others.
Of course we are all quite conversant with the fact that God created man in his image. So definitely when we multiply, we are replicating God's image.
So as a spiritual city, we are meant to expand as a city and as images of God. So double multiplication for us.
I hope that made sense to some of us, cos I'm not so good at explaining things.
Service rounded up by 11 and for the next thirty minutes I was catching up with friends who attend the fellowship.
Right now I'm in a reading room in school, charging my laptop and phone, cos there's no light where I stay outside school.
made my day when I just had this urge to check how much SBD I had left.
is a platform which promotes steemit in the real world as well as organize contests for users.
Last week I participated in the Stach Short Story Contest, and got notified today that 4SBD has been transferred to me as my prize for coming out first.
I cannot begin to express how I feel right now. It is going to solve a couple of needs I have at the moment. Since we rented a room outside school, electricity is not going to be so reliable so we got a kerosene stove to cook with. But the price of kerosene is making me think of buying a hotplate anyway and using it whenever there is light. Plus, we've got no pressing iron and no mirror, so you can imagine how haggard I've been looking these last few days.
Hopefully, that's what I'll be purchasing with the 4SBD prize given to me. Hopefully, with time I'll be able to get the hotplate.
Which is why I want to say a bug thank you once more to members of the team for that contest. You've offered me a way if solving my problems.
Before I end this let me acknowledge for this wonderful trail as well as
who has been of tremendous help in curation, not just to me alone but to all who have written #ulogs recently.
Happy Sunday and a splendid week in advance.
