Daisy, Lazy and Maisy, Down Under.
If you hadn't already guessed by the title, these photos were taken somewhere in Australia. I can't be specific because I was on my way to Lismore and saw Daisy in the paddock and decided to stop the car and capture these rural scenes, featuring Daisy and her siblings.
Daisy was very obliging and allowed me to get a couple of close up shots. I always thought cows had brown eyes but Daisy proved me wrong. Her eyes were as black as her coat which had white patches scattered randomly between the black.
This is Daisy's younger sister, Lazy. She only moves when she absolutely has to and needs encouraging to go to greener pastures when its time to change paddocks. She expects the hay to come to her. What a diva!
Here is Daisy with Maisy........her other sister. Ok......so I made up their names but if I were a farmer, these are the names I'd choose for these three cows. But when I think about it, they will inevitably end up sizzling on people's BBQ's from one end of the country to the other which would make the job of naming my cows very difficult indeed.
How could I say Good-Bye with a clear conscience, (knowing their demise) and look into their big, black eyes as they were led into cattle trucks on their way towards their final destination..........an abattoir? Perhaps that's why I'm not a farmer.
I hope you enjoyed my impromptu visit to an unknown farm in New South Wales, Australia.
THANK YOU FOR VIEWING. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
