Peruvian Beauties.
Peruvian lilies are also known as ‘Lily of the Incas,’ They are part of the Alstromeriaceae family and are native to South America.
They grow from a cluster of tubers and their fertile and sterile stems grow up to 1.5 meters in height. The leaves vary in shape and the blades have smooth edges.
Peruvian lilies are available in shades of white, yellow, orange apricot, pink, red,
Purple and lavender.
These flowers which are very similar to miniature lilies look great in bouquets and flower arrangements.
Most cultivars bloom during late spring and early summer and they require at least six hours of morning sunlight, regular water and well drained soil.
I have applied digital effects to this last image to provide a more contemporary look to this stunning Peruvian Lily.
THANK YOU FOR VIEWING. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
