The Emu Glare.

This emu looks rather intimidating but he was actually very friendly. He just made it very difficult for me to take photos of him as he wouldn't stand still for a minute. I was happy with these shots however and just love his warm hazel eyes.
Emus: (Dromaius Novaehollandiae) are the second largest living birds (height wise) after the ostrich.
They are Australia's largest native birds and are characterized by their soft feathers, and long necks and legs.
Emus cover great distances when necessary and live off insects and plants but can survive for lengthy periods without eating.
They don't drink often but when they do, they consume water in huge quantities. Emus are considered cultural icons of Australia and feature on the coat of arms and a few different coins. They are also a prominent feature of Indigenous Australian mythology.
THANK YOU FOR VIEWING. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
