I can understand why people get down. It's not natural if your account halves in value in the course of a week. Last week at 80 cents and some users were still unhappy. Fast forward 7 days and I wander how they feel now. When I need reminding and a kick up the butt ,I write these short pieces. It helps as a reminder why we put ourselves through this rollercoaster ride everyday.
We have so much to look forward to and that we must not forget. Since the low of 7 cents so much has changed, the early accounts have seen a high of $8.18 which attracted tens of thousands of users. Steemit witnessed a type of gold rush, bid bots appeared and everyone was fighting for their cut of the reward pool.
Since the magical high we are now experiencing the opposite, and have for three or four months now. Users have left and abandoned the platform in their droves ,the price has plummeted by around 2000 percent. We survived a Hard Fork and now have RC's. It's not all doom and gloom though. It sounds as though the platform is failing but we know the truth.
We are growing and accumulating Steem at quicker rates than ever. Resource credits haven't really affected anyone who managed to grow in time. Smart Media Tokens are around the corner. Dapps have launched and have already started establishing their own communities. It is fantastic and better for all of us that stayed. That is a lot of changes for one year. It is all forward development, and we are not standing still.
We all want the same thing and that Steemit is a success and Steem goes through the roof one day. It would be great if it waits a short while so we can all gather and pick up just a bit more Steem. We all know that this place will go nuts again and it's just a matter of time.
