Scott Walker, co-founder of Casper Labs, said on a TV show he would be releasing a third version of Ethereum soon.
Scott Walker, co-founder of Casper Labs, said in a speech to the CNBC Crypto Trader program that there will soon be a third version of Ethereum.
Walker also talked about Vlad Zamfir, one of the leading developers of Ethereum who joined the project during the broadcast, and said they were competing to release Casper technology even before Ethereum.
Casper Labs aims to implement its own proof-of-stake (PoS) Blockchain based on the Casper scaling solution proposed by the leading Ethereum developer Vlad Zamfir. The company has collected 20 million dollars in a financing tour led by Galaxy Digital.
Today there are major problems with the proof-of-stake Blockchains. They have not yet been scaled and those who are scaled do so by reducing decentralization. We believe that Casper Labs' Blockchain is the best solution for a fully decentralized and scalable Blockchain.
A third Ethereum
Walker said that a third version of Ethereum will appear in the following words. There's Ethereum Classic, the current Ethereum, and soon there will be a third version of Ethereum, said Casper Labs, co-founder of Casper Labs. Walker thinks that this third version will be the digital currency to sustain the ETH ticker.
