A wile ago I briefly wrote about a social network targeted at young people, namely Kik, and their intention to launch an ECR20 token, called Kin.
Well, the time has come to register. If you want to participate in the token sale, you have to pre-register first, by following this link. I strongly urge you though to read the UserGuides first (there are 3, one of the users, and two related to general Ethereum operations).
Here are the blurbs:
- registration for the token will cease 72 hours prior to the actual sale
- the registration will include your Ethereum address (the one from which you will send tokens)
- you can only contribute Ethereum
- if you are a US citizen and if you want to invest more than 100,000 USD, you will be required to follow a more complex verification process
- if you're not a US citizen, you will be required to follow the same registration process, regardless of the amount you want to contribute
- they aim to cap it at $75 millions (that's quite a large amount, even for an established business)
- the goal of this new crypto-currency, KIN, is to be "a general purpose cryptocurrency, for use in everyday digital services". That's interesting.
If you want to know more, or to register for the token sale, go at kin.kik.com.
