I think you're unfairly characterizing Ethereum as a "scam" risk . There are some heavy hitters in financial services and banking that are seriously looking at Ethereum to automate their back and middle office administrative functions. These applications aren't as sexy and visible as Steemit but will save these institutions billions of dollars when implemented.
