There's a civil war happening within the Ethereum community. If I could draw an analogy for this battle I would say that this would be akin to the battle of Hoth in the Empire Strikes back. The Empire in this case is the Ethereum Foundation. They have bigger guns, more investment, and plan to crush the Classic rebels.
I mean come on, do Classic evangelist really believe they have a chance at overthrowing ETH? Granted the DAO debacle was a huge mess, but the Ethereum foundation with their huge ATAT walkers are going to run Classic to the ground.
It's evident that we do not need both Ethereum chains. Even though Classic is going to exist on the fringes regardless of this outcome. Ethereum is probably going to move forward on the forked chained.
Who's going to win? Nobody in this case. This has been one embarrassment after another for the Ethereum community. It's going to be a while before we hear anything positive about Ethereum. In the meantime, let the battle ensue. What do you think is going to happen?
