Steemians and Miners,
I often run the numbers of mining profitability, like most crypto-miners, to stay on top of where my mining hashrate can be utilized most effectively. Recently I have noticed that, despite the correlation in the price graphs, that Ethereum Classic (ETC) has become what I would consider a more viable and attractive option on the dagger-hashimoto block.
For the below computation, I used the following variables through the profitability calculator on coinwarz.com :
26.00 MH/s
600 Watt PSU
0.10 $/kWh
This produces an overtaking result for ETC vs ETH shown here :
NOTE: 26 MH/s was input to represent the average GPU productivity. Variances will be seen when using your own hashpower and consumption costs, but the purpose of this is to maintain the widest scope of relatebility. Hashrates equal to or greater than ≥ 26 will see the same profitability.
The difference is slight at the single GPU level but increases exponentially as the hashrate variable increases, making ETC more attractive to me if this trend continues.
I would love to receive some input from fellow Steemians on their experiences with the profitability comparison. Does anyone else have current data with different results? Let me know & keep mining friendo.
