Dappy Hay: Finished Udemy and Beginning Own Contract
A few days ago, I finished the Udemy tutorial. I would give this a 7/10. Essentially, it was helpful because it walked through the basics of solidity and smart contracts. But, it used (VERY HEAVILY) the solidity docs... so you could get all the same content for free. Basically, if I wasn't only paying $10 for this, I would have been disappointed.
That being said, I now feel comfortable beginning to experiment with my own contracts for Proof of Vote. Here is my certificate of completion:
First Smart Contract = Fail
Well, my first smart contract was a fail.
Basically, I started working on a voting contract. I declared state variables, wrote a constructor function, a modifier, and a voting function... it compiled without errors, but it did not work.
Not sure yet why, but I could not even execute the contract funcation at all on the testnet, so there is some very serious error :)
However, it was exciting to begin actually writing some of my own code.
Just a reminder that I am putting on a logo design contest with a nice prize.

I wrote an article about it here: https://steemit.com/steemgigs/@robertdurst10/contest-design-me-a-logo-win-usd20-and-20-steem
Cheers and Steem on!
