The Euros is finally upon us and what better way to kick things off than a free competition where you predict the results of the games through out the tournament. The 1st 2nd and 3rd get prizes as well as the best Hive player in the knockout stages.
This will be an open competition and entrants can enter at any time. But the early bird does indeed catch the worm. The Euro's starts tomorrow so get your match predictions into me for the first round. Judging from some feedback here I think it might be better to do the matches in groups so you can do your predictions for a number of matches in the first run of games rather than keeping an eye out for my post every day. That way you will be in and not worry about seeing my latest post. It saves me alot of work as well. Those of you that have already entered. I have your first selection for Germany vs Scotland. All of you chose Germany. Those of you that have not entered yet. The fixture list for the first round of games is below. The home team are the favourites as per bookies odds. Scoring For the Group Stages
The scoring for the group stages is as follows. The away team who are the underdogs in every match are awarded 3 points for a win as opposed to the home team (favourites to win) who get 1 point. A draw gets you 2 points.
Scoring In The Knockout Stages
In recent competitions after the group stages it was a foregone conclusion on who won the whole competition as the group stages took up the most games and predictions. So I have altered this so that the knockout stages could be a game changer for those that do well in the group stages may not necessarily have a good knockout stage. Please see below the scoring for the Knockout Stages

- Entry will be open the whole way through the contest but the predictions must be before the match has kicked off. I will not accept a prediction with Germany 0-0 against Scotland in the 30 minute for example. That match will be voided from your list if this happens. I'm not looking at anyone in particular. Shout out to

Entries are hotting up. Not one person has backed Scotland yet. Not even the Scottish. Most of you are playing safe but there is more points to be scored if the underdog wins. Remember that.
