Not every investment I made on the Steem blockchain has worked out the way I thought it would go.
But 
Here's a post I made 8 months ago.
I figured it was a good idea at the time to start collecting Alpha Gold Foil Common cards.
The cards haven't lost much value in USD while the STEEM I bought them with did (always a silver lining somewhere!).
This is a part of my Alpha Gold Common Collection.
The reason I'm happy is because of Splinterlands latest announcement!
Dark Energy Crystals are about to be unleashed!.
What it comes down to is that without altering any of the Stats on the Gold Cards by the dev team they will become way more valuable by tomorrow.
Why?
Playing with Gold Foil cards will allow you to collect more Dark Energy Crystals, the new in-game currency.
And when you choose to destroy the gold foil cards you will be rewarded with considerably more energy than their regular counterparts!
And yeah you guessed it, you can buy awesome stuff with those Crystals because Aggroedius and Yabanius sure know how to build an awesome and addictive game.
Yes! That is cool and of course, I want the new stuff.
But I'm also looking forward to what this will do to do Gold Foil prices.
