The coconut palm is a tree that grows very tall. So high it grows that you have to climb the tree or a ladder to be able to take its fruit. The other alternative is to wait for the same fruit to fall from the tree. Speaking about pride and arrogance there is a saying that says: "He who like palm goes up, like coconut goes down".
The people who allow pride to take over their lives are going up like the coconut palm. They believe that they are at the top, that no one can reach them or reach them. They distance people from them because they think they are superior or better. And God is very clear in his word when he says that God looks afar off at the haughty, but humbly attends.
I do not mean to feel proud of your successes, of your joys or of what you have worked and fought with effort. But if I refer to the pride that brings negative things and that does not allow us to keep our feet firmly on the ground. But there is an end for those people with greatness pretenses, because just as the palm goes up high, the coconut goes down. At the moment of truth when we touch death we will not take anything.
