This is outrageous and is part of the reason why FB is passe (fancy French word for yesterday's media)
Just compare old media with new:

Old: FB, Twitter, youtube
New: Steemit, Gab.ai, ONG.Social

Old: censorship, ads, centralized control over YOUR content
New: No censorship, No ads (unless you want them), decentralized protection of your content.
