If you're using HM on facebook, then there's some point of drawbacks to be kept in mind:-
- Sometimes hashtags maybe misleading for the users
Facebook has a drawback in the hastags used in the posts. The exact hashtag which you type into the query does only appear in the search results. There is no post which you can see the related hashtags as in Twitter.
- Hashtags are not frequently updated in Facebook as it happens in Twitter
As in Twitter, Facebook doesn't update the hashtag search results. Another drawback is that the top most results in the searched hashtag are of 2years ago.
This two reasons are the most appropriate reasons of stating that Facebook Hashtag Marketing is not relevant over Twitter hashtag marketing.
