Do you remember the old family crests, often depicted in Medieval banners and carried by shield bearers for Ye Kings of Ol'?
Well, I don't, per say, unless seeing them in movies counts.
I've always thought that having a family crest would be cool, however. Something akin to a high school letter-men jacket. Words and symbols with shiny little medals depicting what you've accomplished and what you've stood for.
Also, I think there is great value in having symbols and traditions that your children and your children's children can look to to help them remember what things their family name stands for.
For this cause my wife and I thought and prayed about what kind of Coat of Arms, what kind of values and traditions, would we want the world around us to think of when they think on us.
We also wanted to fit them into the 7 day week, both in totality and for alliterations sake. That's more of my OCD shining through, than my wife's. Although, she is a big fan of making new schedules that "revolutionize your life."
So, together we came up with the following list of family values that neatly fit into the names of the days of the week so that we can teach them to our children according to a very revolutionary schedule. :)

Why include everything in one post when you can make multiple posts out of the same content.
Wise words indeed.
Over the next 7 posts I'll unfold what each day's value means to me and my family. Stay tuned!
