I was getting a little frustrated trying to compile EOS this weekend (I did finally get it compiled! More on that in a future post), so I made a last minute decision to take the family out, rent a canoe + a kayak, and float down a river here in Tennessee. We had a blast!
Here are some pictures and a short video at about the 40 second mark.
I didn't have my phone out much today as it was mostly tucked safely in a ziplock bag. It is my new phone, after all.
It took us about 45 minutes to drive to Foggy Bottom Canoe and Kayak Rental in Kingston Springs. We got in the water around 3:00pm and floated until 5:30pm. We all had so much fun. It was about $37 per boat and that included all the equipment and a van ride up the river. They put the boats in for you and all you have to do is float down river with little or no effort. They also pull the boats out at the end.
It was a perfect day for a perfect family activity. I know we'll be back, and I may be hunting around Craig's List for cheap canoes. :)
I hope you had a great weekend as well.
