@Hendrix22's sister Stephanie, who, for the rest of the blog will be referred to as Stephine (pronounced Steffeen) came back to Nova Scotia!
Fun fact: Our children gave her that name at a very young age and it has forever stuck. Steph told me she actually loves the name and wishes her name was actually Stephine. I'm laughing right now writing this. I love our family so.
Stephine and her husband Chris, the kids' most favouritest auntie and uncle in the world, come here every summer for Chris and Stryder's birthday.
Words can't really do justice to how amazing it is every time we get together. It's just a lot of jokes, laughs, games, challenges, good food, and running around being crazy (well, not me on that last one because I almost pass out at a light jog).
Charlie
Chris and Steph's Fur Baby! She's a totally loving and gentle spirit, and boy does she ever love the beach, water and of course playing endless fetch.
Now that the introductions are done, the journey begins, of the best time we had all summer. Our epic week with Steph, Chris & Charlie.
They arrived at night, after a 2 day drive from their home province of Ontario, Canada. Hive account@hendrix22, the kids and I went to Craig & Hive account@marionbowes' place to await them. We had a lovely dinner, and dessert out on their beautiful deck which overlooks the sea.
The warm nights on this deck are To. Die. For.
Our First Day Together Was A Rain Day
Rainy days are absolutely fine though, when you love playing Yahtzee and feasting as much as we do!
This was a common scene that day! :)
Hive account@marionbowes got so much food in advance for this trip, we could hardly find anything in the fridge, or the deep freeze without a search party. Thank you again for all the heavenly meals through the week Craig & Marion...my stomach is still full.
Hands off the croissants boys hehehe...try and wait for dinner.
Caeser salad with homemade dressing.
BBQ Chicken
Potato Salad. A summer staple in Canada.
So wonderful to have everyone at the same table...even Charlie underneath while we ate, keeping my feet warm, bless her!
Another great rainy day activity, Stephine made bookmark crafts with Kiedis and Stryder. She's such an awesome Auntie, always doing unique things for/with the boys throughout the years.
We topped off that night with an adults only game of Yahtzee, or 3. I apologize for the crappy quality of some of the pictures so far. This is a memories post and not photography, so I'm including all photos that warm my heart. That's my perfectionist disclaimer. Now I can get back to the story in peace 😂
It's alright, we have cake and coffee to fix that (thanks again Craig & Marion hehehe).
Chris is building sandcastles, and we are burying Stephines.
Will he do it folks?

Chris taking a dip in the ocean now that his masterpiece is complete.
After a long day in the sun we were all ready to go back home for some serious feasting and chilling. Nothing feels better than the after beach feeling. I've loved it my whole life. Born and raised in Canada, we don't get enough of this.
The boys are all snuggled up while we play yet another round of...you know it...YAHTZEE!
That concludes part one of our week of epicness with Chris and Stephine.
Thanks, as always, for reading #STEEM fam! The other half is coming tomorrow :)
