I am not good in group settings for long periods. I know this about myself. I try hard not to hurt people's feelings when asked to be in a group, and I, now say 'No, Thank you.'
Only some understand the answer 'no.' Over my lifetime entering into groups, I know I have hurt people's feelings. I have watched many groups fall apart. It's sad, and sometimes it hurts your soul.
I can make small talk and make you feel at home. I can be the hostess and make sure everyone has a beautiful time. I am good at these things, and most times, when it is my idea, I have a blast surrounded by all the fun and laughter. Then I will disappear for days on end.
I love making others happy. I love to see others smile and laugh. It is what makes getting up in the mornings worthwhile. Spreading joy and hope is the least I can do for those in my life.
I once read how people are not always meant to be in our lives forever. Some people show up for us for moments in time when we need them most. Once their job is done, it is time to let them go. Not always the easy part but one which needs to happen for you to move on in life.
Then some special people come into our lives, and we are connected with them upon meeting. Not in a sexual way but in a bonding way. It is this feeling of 'I know this person' or 'You wonder where you have met them before, but you know you haven't.'
This was going thru my mind when I met @Enginewitty for the first time. I sent him a DM to ask about what stood for.
I needed a place on the Blockchain to call home. I wanted to connect with real people. I did not want to join a Blockchain group, so someone might read my posts. After an interesting back and forth with Enginewitty, I wrote my post to join The Alliance, and the rest is history.
Why were Enginewitty and I destined to meet over five years ago? Girl Scout Cookies are why. Honest. It has to be why. Someone in the universe knew in February of 2023, I would need boxes of Girl Scout cookies to make me laugh and smile.
If I had not ordered the cookies, I would not have received a cool sweatshirt with the PIMP token logo on the front and a lady's bum on the back! There would not have been a reason for Engine to send me that. It only makes sense when the bundle also came with an Alliance bucket hat!

Added to all the gifts was a drink coaster, making me think of many other Hiveians. It makes me smile when I glance down at it throughout my day. The last present Engine sent was something I never thought I would own. I now have a personal fidget spinner to...spin.
The spinner weighs a reasonable amount. If you ever see a flying black spinner approaching your head, DUCK!
Thank you to my little brother for always having my back! The Girl Scout cookies were delish! I even shared some with Hubby! The best of the best was the caramel brownie ones!! I had not had any Girl Scout cookies in over ten years. Waiting for the box to come in the mail felt like a kid waiting for the once-a-year sale.
I felt spoiled. Thank You!
Help someone smile today. It can not hurt you.
