Trying to use a Cartman gif for some comedy, but for real guys, my family needs a miracle right now. I am getting on a plane tomorrow to fly from Oregon to Miami, FL where my dad at time of writing this post is in the early stages of a long multi-hour emergency surgery to remove cancer from his spine that has caused him to go numb from the waste down.
My poor mother is not there and is 2 hours away at their house in the Florida Keys. He had to be airlifted to Miami from the hospital in Marathon, FL. She’s pretty much a wreck. The doctors are keeping in touch every hour through the surgery but they gave us word before they started that due to the existing damage, that it is a large possibility that he will be paralyzed from the waste down.
I am going to try and help mom handle business and field all communication from the family, so needless to say that I have a lot on my shoulders. My life has been flipped upside down, but I am the dude that is supposed to be holding it all together. So I am asking for a bit of positive vibes from my Hive fam.
