I just dropped our oldest son at the airport in Amsterdam. He is going on a internship in Malta for two weeks. He is following his internship at the professional soccerclub Balzan FC. It made me think on how things have changed over the years. For instance when I was his age we didn't had these kind of trips, he has been to more countries (from school) already that I have been at my school time. But I think it is great he get these chances, it is a great experience for him and for us two hahaha two weeks without him at home, will be strange I am afraid.
The funny thing is that there are no direct flights to Malta from the Netherlands, he has a transfer in Rome before he flies to Malta.
He will be staying at a guest family, they have kids too so he will enjoy himself I think.
