Have you ever seen such a workspace?
That is actually our kitchen table, where our older son plays, eats and watches youtube. Regularly I work in the kitchen at night when everyone is in their rooms asleep. We do not have a separate room for me to work in our apartment. Anyway, I like to work in the kitchen because I can regularly take breaks between work and eat something or drink coffee.
To tell you the truth I don't know the answer to the question of how to win space from your children when they are taking up so much space with their toys.
We can either:
- Buy fewer toys
- Make our children put their toys in a separate box in the evening
- Don't let them play where you work
- Punish them when they make a mess
Personally, I only like the second choice. I try to do that regularly, but it does not always work. My child has so many toys in every room, that it is hard to pack it together with him :)) I love my children so much that I don't even mind them making a mess and taking up all my space. As soon as my son hugs and kisses me I will forgive him everything.
So I would advise to take it easy and give your kids a break sometimes
Parenting can be very tough because every child is individual and you have to find keys for each one. What is good for one is bad for another. The most important thing is to love them and sometimes be strict so that they don't sit on your head.
