The breathing tube is out. A large piece of his skull was removed to relieve pressure on the brain. He can move his arms and legs and speak a bit when awake. Which is not often because he’s mostly sleeping. Spoke very softly after having had the tube down his throat. Knew the year and month but was fuzzy on the date (who isn’t?) and could identify me. Probably a long road ahead but the next 72 hours are critical. His youth and physical conditioning are pluses, but it’s “traumatic brain injury” so lots of unknowns.
Thanks to all for your concern and kind words. Probably no updates or other posting for at least a few days as I deal with this. Might do a bit of curating on SteemQuasiAutopilot but only sparsely.
