It's Family Fridays here at 523...
How was the first week of your new year? Mine was spent in bed (or the couch) sick with a nasty cold. We had people at work and family members sick the past four weeks so I suppose it was inevitable that one of us would get sick. Anyways, that did not stop me from snapping a few family photos for this week.
Even though it was the onset of my cold, we still went to my parents for our Christmas lunch on New Year's Day and had a great time. Caleb and his uncle joe finally got to play the Battle Bots game together. I'm not sure who won exactly because in the photo below you will see a very sour face that Caleb is making at 
I won't judge until I know the entire truth of course...
Anyways, they finally got passed it after they rumbled around like children and his uncle Joe finally got the best of Caleb. :)
Caleb started back to school this week and was none too thrilled. But, he was excited to know that after his homework was done, he had a little treat waiting for him in the mailbox. His Kiwi Box subscription arrived.
This month it was teaching children about how a flower draws water from it's roots into the petal by capillary action. It gave us all the materials to demonstrate just how it's done.
When Caleb had it figured out, he was quick to point out and demonstrate this to his daddy.
But now here we are on Friday morning and poor little Caleb isn't quite as peppy as he was at the beginning of the week. Nope, poor baby is at home with daddy, and they are both sick in bed. This is unfortunate because we had plans to go to the aquarium for a friend's birthday party tomorrow and I don't think we will be making it.
