The term Child Protection is used to counteracting and reacting to viciousness mishandle against kids – including business sexual abuse, trafficking, and destructive customary practices for example, cutting of females private organs, molestation and child marriages.

Actually most of the researches conducted by psychologists suggest that almost 80%-83% of one’s personality depends upon the nurturing he/she gets from his/her surroundings. Surroundings do mean mother’s lap, school, playground and a society as a whole. So, it means nurturing is the core logic behind one’s approach towards life. In the case of children it is very much important to provide them the basic knowledge what are the parameters of life in a society. Below I am going to mention a few steps to protect kids from mental or physical abuses.
• Understanding about the cultural norms and values is quite necessary for the kids of a specific society in which they are living.
• Kids between the ages 03 -14 must be taught what is sexual abuse and molestation and how it can be confronted.
• It is also very important to discuss with the kids: “How not to be bullied at school or in playground”
• Don’t use the coercive or oppressive approach, if something wrong done by the kids.
• Show the equal affection to kids in a family institution, this thing would boost their level of confidence.
• Puberty is a crucial stage in the life of preteen. Parents must guide their preteens about the upcoming bodily changes and their effects on the personality. Give them confidence that it’s all normal.
• A composed psychological analysis of their capabilities would give them a chance to excel in their respective fields.
• Don’t force them to opt specific habits rather guide them why it is important to adopt specific habit in life.
• Do have a spy look upon the social circle of your child to know more about the activities he/she is doing.
• Don’t ask them to follow you, through motivation turn them into leaders instead of followers.
• Minimize your communication gap with your kids to feel their thoughts.
Mostly those children are molested who are remarkably defenseless against these misuses, such as when living without parental care, poor physical and mental wellbeing in struggle with the law and in equipped clash. So, here are some suggestions how you can guide your kids about sexual abuse/molestation if they face it.
There are three spots in child’s body which are meant not to be touched other than real parents and doctor. These parts can be touched by the doctors just to examine the child in the presence of his/her parent. Below are the spots
- Chest
- Part between legs
- Butts/Hips
If anything happens like this make a huge yell and shriek
Run away from the place as soon as possible
Go to some known person and tell him the whole situation
It is the need of hour to initiate such projects in which family institution must be provided awareness all over the world about
