The known botanically name is Carica Papaya and is often called a wonder fruit for all its great properties. Pawpaw is a widely cultivated fruit tree in the tropics and subtropics.

You can also eat them straight out of the fruit although this can be intense and a bit spicy. Paw paw may cause severe allergic reactions in sensitive people. The latex can be a severe irritant and vesicant on skin. Paw paw juice and seeds are unlikely to cause adverse effects when taken orally; however, the leaves at high doses may cause stomach irritation.
You can eat fruits anytime in the day,except after meal. The mere fact that paw paw is considered as ideal to eat during night is because it rich in necessary sugars and low fat which might not deposit on the muscle layers. So it's best to eat your papaya, or fruits for that matter, approx. 3 hours before a meal. For instance, have 2 slices of paw paw for breakfast, then eat proper lunch. Or have some paw paw during tea break time, and then eat dinner 3 hours later. Paw paw is a wonderful fruit.
