Tips on how to take better care of your crowning glory as not to look dry:
Do not over color. Single-process color should only be done once a month and highlights only need to be done every two or three months.
After coloring use a deep-conditioning treatment. There are many products that you can buy in supermarket or in a hair shop. Apply the conditioner while in the shower and cover your hair with a plastic shower cap with holes in it. Stand in the steam for 5 - 10 minutes to open the hair cuticle and allow the conditioner to penetrate (if you do not have a steamer, section your hair and cover with folded strips of aluminum foil, then use a hair flat iron over the strips to seal the moisture in your hair.
Use a shampoo and a conditioner for color treated hair to protect the color and keep the hair looking healthy.
If you darken your hair and feels that your hair is still dry, the cause is not probably the hair coloring. Over styling, constant blow-drying, rebonding are the causes of dryness and sometimes hair fall or the worst, you get bald. Do not o blow-dry your hair everyday.
