It’s a branch of The Greens’ Waste Business Hub, a startup incubator that aims at freely training young and underprivileged youths to exploit the business opportunities available in the domain of waste, hence nurture a generation of Waste Business Entrepreneurs (Wastepreneurs).
EcoDesigns currently has 03 Training Directors and more than 13 female trainees who are learning fashion designing, embroidery and overlocking as well as how to transform textile trash into textile treasure.

Fon Irene: Director of Training in textile recycling and fashion designing
Our beautiful and young Fon Irene is Director of EcoDesigns and Director of Training incharge of Textile Recycling and Fashion Designing. She is Co-Founder of EcoDesigns and a trained Fashion Designer. Being a Single Mother, Irene has pledged to educate and empower other young girls to become entrepreneurs by training them for free in textile recycling and fashion designing.
Besides fighting youth unemployment and poverty which are drivers of teenage pregnancy and deliquency among young girls, Irene is also trying to improve the health and well being of people and the planet by collecting old clothes from people who have, mending them and redistributing to the underpriviledged, prisoners and orphans; hence changing lives while reducing the amount of textile pollution in the city.
Irene's goal at EcoDesigns focuses on the 3 Ps (People, Profit and Planet). She currently has 13 trainees who are learning textile recycling and fashion designing at EcoDesigns and her wish is to train and empower more young girls.
