I finally did it! With A few colder days we had recently I felt the need to pack most of my summer clothes and pull out some warmer peaces.
Even though we still have hot days, mornings and evening definitely got colder. For me, this is the worst part of the year in terms of clothing because weather changes all the time and it feels like you can experience all four seasons in a short period of time so you have to be prepared.
In one part of my closet, I like to organize my clothes for the current season. This includes my tops, bottom, dresses and outerwear. Everything else that is out of season, my lounge wear and more of a occasional wear, like dressier clothes that I don't wear on daily basis is in another part of the closet. This way my clothes are separated but still easily accessible if I need it.
BEFORE - SUMMER
Hanging - most of my tank tops, dresses, rompers and one light weight cardigan
Folded - more tank tops, crop tops, a dress, a romper on the left; bikinis in the middle and shorts on the right
AFTER - AUTUMN
Hanging - t-shirts, long sleeve top and jackets (as we go deeper into autumn, I will start adding warmer tops and jackets)
Folded - more short sleeve and 3/4 sleeve tops on the left, thicker tops in the middle and bottoms on the right
OUT OF SEASON, LOUNGE AND OCCASIONAL WEAR
Top shelf is my autumn occasional wear - few skirts, tops and dresses; bottom is my lounge and active wear
Here on top I have my summer clothes and the bottom is beach towels, winter sweaters and my favorite autumn jacket
And finally, these are my coats and winter jackets
In the past year or two I got rid off a lot of clothes. The process of minimizing my wardrobe is still not done. I feel like I can declutter more so I can only keep the pieces that I truly love to wear, I feel good at, that are comfortable and match my style.
I hope you found this post interesting and maybe it will inspire you to go through your clothes! :)
