Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture.
Olding days
Fashion is distinctive and often habitual trend in the style in which a person dresses. Let's say in the 60's, you will see pictures of our father's with there affuro hairs some of them touching d sky, with tight pens trouser from the waist to the laps and from d knee down to there feet, you see that same trouser as big as umbrella with there big high heels and mothers rocking life in there big gowns, you won't see any part of there vital body expose and there scary make up. Some times I wonder if it's charcoal and chalk they use to draw some lines on there faces. But even at that, our parents really loves each other. You will hardly hear any divorce case. Yes, there was quarrels but they had a way of settling it amicably without the children hearing or noticing any fights.
Current fashion:
The same way times have changed, that's the same way trend of fashions has changed. You can't just walk wearing some kind of olding days fashion clothes to go to event or church. Even the pastor will direct the ushers to put you in the back seat, no matter how early you come to church. Now designers are everywhere. You will see designers like Gucci, D&G, Polo, Givenchy etc. Even with the current Ankara designs we have are also beautiful and unique.
Old fashion trends repeat themselves after some years. Those trends in our forefather's days are now fashionable. The only difference in these fashion tendencies is their modernization. The techniques in production in the textile industry have been upgraded in the past years and the quality of the materials used has also improved. In fact the techniques in sewing has so improve that panties are now ropes..
Cross dressers:
fashion now has also taken another form. There are people now they call cross-dressers. I don't know if I'll put tom boy into such category because I'm use to see it but my main interest is the guy's aspect. In Nigeria, during my childhood, you dare not see a male child dress like a girl. They will flog sense into your head. But to my greatest surprise, what you see them flog a child for, is what you see an adult do now. You see a full grown man with bald head dress like a lady with make up feeling fly... "Lord have mercy"
Fashion so far has really evolved. Since the time of Adam and eve Where leaves and animal skin were best fashion, to the age of "bend down select", fashion has been a changing trend from bikins in the 60's to the bongos in the 70's to the brocades in the 80's and the Ankara's of today.
