Hello Steemit community,
I'm here to introduce you to a faucet quite recent and nauvator in its way of working.
This faucet is named Febbit and presents a fun way to win a small amount in Bitcoin every hour. The principle is quite simple. You have a virtual mining farm where you have to improve your elements to help as much as possible in mining a block and thus get the most hash to earn a higher number of satoshis and credits to improve your mining components.
- Here you can see what the main interface of the site looks like with the hashing speed, total of hashes made, the energy and the boost. On the left side your level, credits, powder, crystal, and your satoshis.
Components and rarity system
I will go deeper into the workings of the site and the various resources available on it. Let's start with what is most important to understand - the system of component improvements.
As you can see, there are 4 different types of components and 7 different levels of rarity.
- The first component on the top left allows to cool the system when you booster it, this boost is usable every 5 minutes and must be activated manually.
- The component at the top right allows to increase the mining power purely and hard. It's like a CPU.
- Just below it there is the battery and allows to extend the mining time before you have to recharge your battery manually with a simple click just like the boost.
- Finally still below are the components of overclocking, this component will increase your mining power but also your boost but decreased the duration of this one that's why you need to have thermal regulators presented at the beginning.
Here are the seven levels of rarity presented from the least interesting to the most interesting:
- Green (you can upgrade it to level 20)
- Sky blue (you can upgrade it to level 40)
- Dark blue (you can upgrade it to level 60)
- Purple (you can upgrade it to level 80)
- Yellow (you can upgrade it to level 100)
- Orange (you can upgrade it to level 120)
- Red (you can upgrade it to level 140)
There are however differences between the components of the same color, we can see that they have a percentage of effectiveness, the higher this will be, the better the component, even if a component of a higher color will always be better even if this one has a low effectiveness.
- For example, here my component has an efficiency of 29%.
So you can install 9 different components and try to arrange yourself so that it is the most balanced according to your use, if you are little there, put more battery and less overclocker so that you can leave your farm running for a long time and vice versa, it is up to you to decide.
Shop and upgrading system
In this second part we will talk very quickly about the shop that you can see just above. It is quite simple and intuitive, you can buy credits against crystals, or even boxes (which I will explain later in the article) against credits or satoshis or crystals, but also dust that will improve your components in a level of rarity above using 3,4,5... components of a level below or similar to this one which is very interesting but long enough to Farm.
- The enhancement interface that you can find in the components inventory by clicking on one of them from the purple rarity minimum.
Boxes
Now let's talk about this box system, the box system is quite similar to what you can find on games like CS:GO or Overwatch, you will get a box at each new level, a green box every level, a sky blue every 5 levels, a dark blue every 10, a violet every 50, a yellow every 100 etc.... A box will not necessarily give you a component of the color of this one even if obviously it will give you minimum a component of this color but this one perhaps of a superior rarity. It is also possible to unlock these boxes in the shop as indicated previously but also by completing daily quests that I will present just after.
Quest system
There are two different quest systems, one daily and the other event-oriented.
- There are 5 different daily quests that will ask you to perform relatively simple tasks like mine a specific number of blocks, or recharge your battery or boost as many times as needed, or open boxes or improve your components.
- Event quests are multi-step and depend on what is proposed by the website developers.
Social Part
In this part you will find your referral code but also the number of people you have sponsored, what they brought you and finally banners to promote Febbit on your website for example.
Earnings and Withdraw
- During the beginning you will gain about twenty satoshis per hour, after a few weeks you will arrive towards the 30-35 satoshis per hour, the curve of progression is rather slow and not very pronounced and also depends on the price of the Bitcoin naturally like all the faucets. The site remains quite young and puts very little advertising and no pop-up is present on the site which for me justifies very well this decision to put a rather slow progression curve. I think it's interesting to invest some time and see the progress, the developers release a major update every month that is presented on their Reddit and is relayed through an unofficial Twitter account that I keep.
- The minimum number of satoshis to withdraw is 1000 satoshis which is very reasonable knowing that for the moment you must go through faucethub for your transfers.
Conclusion
I think Febbit is a promising site that just needs to be known and further developed to be more profitable and welcoming.
Positive points :
- Easy to use site
- Low withdrawal amount
- Innovative and fun system
- A good referral system
- Site often updated
- Developer listening on Reddit
- Can be automated by a bot
Negative points:
- The progression curve may seem a bit long and discouraging
- It's still a faucet so you won't get rich with it but it's still fun to do to start in the blockchain or by adding to other faucets
