I don't feel the spin of the earth, however, I have felt the slightest tremor from time to time. When I ask people if they ever wonder why they cannot feel the spin of the earth, they always give an answer that is not reasonable, like "because we move with the atmosphere" or "we're just so used to it you cannot feel it"
Yet, another question that I pose... IF a helicopter hovers up over the earth for say an hour then comes straight back down, shouldn't it land in a different spot? Say, somewhere west of the point that it went up? I say West because we've been told that we are spinning East to West at about 1040 mph. (at the equator). Questions for thought and for some helicopter pilots.
Another thing that I notice is that, when asked, usually people automatically feel that they need to defend the idea of the earth spinning simply because it has been engrained in them (us).
Children are the most honest and cool people. they ask common sense questions. Yet, they are told to accept a theory as fact and to believe every History lessons as fact as well.
