A Fine Feathered Monday For Feathered Friday
The 25th of February was a pretty nice day down in Homer, Alaska. I got some nice pano series shots of the Mountains. We were also treated to a nice close up view of an Eagle. He was munching on a fish real close to the parking lot. At first I didn't know what was going on my wife was jumping out of the car camera in hand 'Oh my God, oh wow" kind of statements, me being me was kind of clueless. I thought she had just noticed the crow I was trying to take a picture of had come back. Nope silly me. When the couple parked next to us got out of their car with kid in hand, and my wife looking down the embankment some, I finally got a clue. Here he is. Only about 15 feet away from everyone, finishing his lunch up.
Well after a nice hearty meal of salmon or whatever kind of fish he had, he decided to try and relax on top of the seafarers monument. Here he is coming in for a landing.
Touch down. He looks so proud that he made a nice landing, looking around to make sure we all noticed.
It did not take long for an intruder to come by and try to frighten him off his perch, he was having none of that though, beak opened, and talon readied. The intruder soon left.
Meanwhile someone says, I'm outta here.

#featheredfriday is a tag that was brought to us by , to see more cool birds from around the world in peoples backyards and such, his blog would be a good place to start.
