This mounted Eagle just pleaded to my senses for a shot.
Tired of the same old open sun halo shots, I decided to go and look for some props to bring a new dimension to my halo shots and I think that I found some good ones.
You are welcome to tell me in the comments what you think about the props idea.
Another frontal shot of the eagle in the halo.
This is the eagle prop that I used for the halo shots.
Now let's go natural and the old tree stuck its thumb into the halo.
Here's the old tree from another angle.
And finally it is Sunday after all.
So what is a sun "Halo" ?
Halo (from Greek ἅλως, halōs is the name for a family of optical phenomena produced by light (typically from the Sun or Moon) interacting with ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere. Halos can have many forms, ranging from colored or white rings to arcs and spots in the sky.
Many of these appear near the Sun or Moon, but others occur elsewhere or even in the opposite part of the sky. Among the best known halo types are the circular halo (properly called the 22° halo), light pillars, and sun dogs, but many others occur; some are fairly common while others are (extremely) rare.
