Ini and I are so excited to be a part of this season's
Incubator (Cohort 2)! Each week there will be a Sndbox Weekly Question and everyone is invited to participate! This week the invitation is to:
Create a post that is all about engaging your readership and interacting with them in a new way.
hint hint ;)
We sat down and discussed it a bit and came up with an awesome creative exercise that Ini remembers from his childhood.
Playing is a healthy and natural part of being alive, but are rarely encouraged to play as adults. Children have an enthusiasm and passion for playing, and yet adults seem to struggle with . Being playful always feels good for me and incites creativity and wonder. It's a joy to play with other humans. Here's a fun and accessible way to get playful!
MadLib It
Here's how it works
We're going to a gamified version of Mad Libs for the #feedbackchain challenge. Madlibs is a literary game where you get to fill in the blanks of a story (before you know what the story is about!). I had a whole lot of fun playing this game with my sisters when I was growing up. Anyone else ever get down with this silly word game? We're hoping you'll join in!
It's all about using your imagination!
The What
The funny part is that there's no clue as to WHAT the writing is about. You are given a numbered list of nouns (things), verbs (actions) and adjectives (describing words) to come up with. Once that's done, you fill in the blanks and read the story aloud (this will be announced in the next post and at that point we'll reward the funniest/best contribution with Steem 5+.)
Be prepared for all things silly and funny and perhaps a little disturbing...
To play the game simply fill in the appropriate word type in the comments below (numbered and in order) and wait for the story to be revealed.
Here's the list for you to fill out:
