Imagine being homeless just hanging out in a park downtown when you see a throng of topless people about to trample you. I asked him what he thought about this and he said it wouldn't be that bad of a way to go. Then one of the organizers called for everyone from another direction and everyone turned South (or to our right) as you can see several people just hearing him.
I saw this guy approaching Civic Center and knew this was the best statement at least by a male that I saw. This photograph was taken along the 16th Street Mall in the early stages of the parade.
There was free body painting under the trees at Civic Center Park. I saw no disorderly conduct and did not even note a police presence. Different areas of the country and the world took part in this annual event in an effort to gain the same rights that men have when in public. In Denver, these rights have already been secured as you'll see some cover up partially and some do not.
From what I could tell, everyone in attendance as well as unsuspecting bystanders did not take issue with these participants.
Getting painted up
Everyone just walking normally as they would any other day. This would not be that big of a deal in many parts of the world, but here in the US this still irks many. Even breastfeeding in public is often treated as somehow shameful.
I wonder if you have to wear a shirt to ride the 'Free Mall Ride Bus'. There were many from out of town and were not only shocked by this unexpected spectacle, but also by the prevalence of the smell of smoke from people smoking marijuana.
A fairly wide section of humanity was represented there today.
Many people skipped the body painting altogether and may have joined the group as they passed by on the 16th Street Mall.
