Bacolod City is best-known as the City of Smile and well-known for its yearly biggest event Masskara Festival which falls every 3rd week of October throughout the year.
The street and arena dance competitions are the important highlight of Masskara Festival in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. The most awaited showdown will be on October 21st & 22nd of 2017 with a total of 15 barangays (districts) and 11 for the school category.
If you are planning to witness the colorful costumes of the street dancers and detailed headdresses with a smiling masks, the show will start at 3 in the afternoon and the street dance competition at 4 in the afternoon at Bacolod Public Plaza.
"Masskara" that starts from the word "Mass" simply means many people, and "Kara" meaning Face. These are the samples of Smiling Masks where you can buy on the streets.

Where to Stay?
Where to Eat?
You must not leave Bacolod until you tasted the best and renowned Chicken Inasal in Manokan Country just accross SM Bacolod City North Wing. Since there are lots of restaurants, I suggest you to just go directly and without hesitation to Nena’s Beth Restaurant as they serve a pleasant-tasting and yummiest Chicken Inasal.
