McCafé Festive Cup
MERRY NON-CHRISTMAS FROM THE GOLDEN M
It’s officially Halloween tomorrow, the last day of October, which usually marks the beginning of Christmas for he retail companies. This year, however, for whatever reason, McCafe (MacDonalds), has put out their festive cup already.
They’er re the only ones I’ve seen with festive cups out already. I have no idea when they actually put them out since I hadn’t been to the golden M in a while.
The design is ok. It’s pretty basic with one scene of what looks like people out in a neighbourhood enjoying the snow on a snowy day. There is a winters sky with stars and snow crystals and some decorations here and there. Nothing particularly specifically “Christmas” about it - more like a standard winter day wit people apparently off work and school :)
Not a single Santa, Rudolph, Snowman, Christmas Tree, Mistletoe, Angel, Nativity scene or even a gingerbread man in sight. Nobody’s roasting any chestnuts on any kind of fire. Just a Wednesday afternoon in suburban Toronto in December.
Mind you, tough, there is apparently a stack of presents randomly placed outdoors next to a sleigh. On closer inspection, the crowd kind of resembles some kind of protest. Wait. Is this a mob? I wonder if this is some kind of message hidden here. Hmm. More investigation needed
Peace & Love,
Adé
