Festivus is back!
Festivus is the holiday for the rest of us. The O’Keefe family tradition turned global consumer resistance holiday by the 90’s hit sitcom, Seinfeld— is celebrated each year on December 23rd.
After watching the episode (‘The Strike’) premier and many repeats, years later it became my pre-Christmas show of choice , and that of many other Seinfeld fans. A couple of my friends and I still msg each other to air our grievances and have a laugh every year.
Each time I watch the classic episode before Christmas I find something new that hints as why this family-tradition turned tv-holiday continues to grow each year. The episode is timeless; the jokes are as funny and as ironically real today as their were back in the 90’s.
