I just had to do it. I know this cover has nothing to do with #foodfightfriday. But that was my very LAST waterlily to bloom this season. It popped out of the water last Saturday, I really thought they were done for the season. So I pulled out this
net we keep down by our pond, it has a really long handle and plucked it out of the water.
Do you know? no, how could you know, that flower is still closing at night and opening in the morning while it floats in a bowl of water.

Ok, let's get ready to fumble around in the kitchen, for another addition of the famous, fabulous, funny, fascinating #foodfightfriday.
On your mark, get set, go. Let's start flinging food!
First up, a beautifully prepared Zucchini bake, made with our very LAST, freshly picked, ZUKE. I added some s&p, thyme, sweet basil and scallions, with a drizzle of olive oil. I like the word "drizzle", at least when it comes with oil, not the same kind of drizzle that gets you just wet enough to make your hair frizzle.
Did you notice how" FLO" photo-bombed the Zuke-bake. Flo is lily, I named her as soon as she moved onto my table.
Second at bat, a zucchini, broccoli, tomato bake with freshly dehydrated oregano. Oh and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Boy, I love that word drizzle, adds some panache don't ya think?
This is the LAST of the fresh herbs I ha-harvested this week. Sorry, I stutter sometimes when the pressure of this contest gets to me.
These are the LAST of my sunflowers, they really know how to brighten up the kitchen, so kool.
