Looky what we have here!! A bunch of Finger lickin’ Food Fight Friday Food Flaunters.
What I happenin’ everybody? How was your week? Super, Great, Fantastic, slow, eventful, lazy, busy.... Ok Ok enough of the small talk, I’m a day late I know. Friday always sneaks up on me. Since I only work 4 days a week, Friday is my free day while the kids are at school, AKA Date Day With Mama Splatts. I know better than to be Steeming on date day. Ok, I have done it in the past while she was in the shower or something, sneaky sneaky. I normally manage to get my post out in the evening but it just didn’t happen this time. So I’m coming in with some Piled High Chili Dogs first thing Saturday Morning. No I didn’t have these for breakfast but if I did, I would probably throw a couple duck eggs on top.
Just like Fridays seem to do, dinner snuck on on me out of no where also. Don’t you hate it when you just can’t seem to think of some thing for dinner? Something that doesn’t take forever to prep and cook. Something fast, easy and.... a little sloppy. Then it came to me..... I’ll grab a couple packs of these, that will be fast.
Since I just cleaned out the BBQ from makin’ all that Bacon jerky last week, it is ready to go. There is a lot of bacon grease that ends up on the tray and if you don’t clean it out... grease fire. Don’t ask how I know, it may or may not have happened earlier in the week when I tried to cook on it. I’m not denying or admitting to that. Grease seems to ignite around 225 F, just an FYI. Time to toss this pile of wieners on the grill.

Dogs... Why are they called “Dogs” anyway??? Wieners... I get that due to the shape but Hot Dogs ???? I have to look up the name of the genius who named the hotdog. Hold up a minute...
I’m leaning more toward the college kids myself. Alright let’s get back to the dog at hand. Some of the kids in the house wanted just plain hotdogs on a bun with ketchup and mustard.
“That ain’t all your eatin’!! There are some carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower that you better be grubbin’ on too.”
I tossed down a hotdog prepped the “traditional way” while I was waiting for the chili to warm up. It has been a long time since I had a good ol’ hotdog. That was tasty!!! With 2 dogs waiting to be covered in the meaty beanie goodness, I was wondering if I could eat 2 chili dogs. I guess we will just have to wait and see shall we.

Bite after bite I ate my way across this chili dog. The last few bites were a bit tough but I managed to put it all down!!! I knew I could do to the whole time. :wink:wink.
Now it is time to kick back on the couch and have a little movie night with the family. I really need to get my Food Fight Friday Contender ready ahead of time but.... never mind. Excuses are like A....H.... everyone has one.
