With the family up for the week the kitchen has been open 24/7, and it is all hands on deck. needed a break from cooking this evening's meal, and it would take a master chef like myself to conduct the cooking.
Following my lead, as I will be at the helm of this masterpiece of a dinner, will be my daughter, and my soon to be son in-law. Yes they got engaged last week, and I couldn't be happier.
Being that Mike is not a pro like myself, we put him on the corn husking detail.😁 Boy, does he husk a great ear of corn. No little hairs left to get stuck in your teeth.
Not being too good at remembering names, by the time I was putting this post together, I was not sure if we were making Barittoes, Fallaffells, Farittoes, or waffels. Since my memory will not serve me right, we will just call these bad boys, BaFaWaffels
After slicing and dicing onions and peppers and adding some other ingredients to the concoction, we cooked the dish on low heat to allow the greens, which are the peppers, and the whites, which are the onions, to simmer. Simmering allows the essence of this fine mixture to fill the room with its aroma. It also softens the veggies.
The chicken has been cut into strips and is also cooking on a low heat.
Dump the big pan of heavenly stuff into the bigger pan of heavenly stuff, and presto, you have the main dish ready to spread over the BaFaWaffel shells.
Before filling the shells with the mixture of chicken and veggies, the shells are coated with cheese.
Being that we were cooking for a small army of very hungry people , we gathered all cooking pans and grills, and put them into action.
Things are going really well, and a thumbs up is in order. Good job baby doll.
With the first batch of four ready to be devoured, we cooked eight more, and rang the dinner bell.
Perfect timing on the corn, as it was ready just as we took the last BaFaWaffels off the grill.
This little cutie pie eats like her Grandpa, everything is up for grabs.
Now, for desert we would be making some homemade blueberry ice-cream.
!
Thanks to , and his tutorial, #farm-mom just had to get one of these ice-cream balls.
P.S. Wanting to be totally up front, this blog has been posted 6 hours 57 minutes and 14 seconds later than the rules allow. If you are willing to accept this family prepared meal, I am willing to take as many fish slaps as those in charge can
out.
